During the pandemic the use of our online system Doctorlink increased. It is a great way to get clinical advice for your condition, however, it is worth remembering that each consultation takes a significant of time to review and there are lots of other ways to get advice. Also, you will not get an instant response to these so if it is urgent please call the practice or contact 111.

When the surgery is closed, if you have any healthcare need, please contact NHS 111 by either calling 111 or visiting the website . As always if you have any medical emergency then please call 999.

We are a training practice

We are an accredited GP Training Practice. The GP Registrar will remain with us for a period usually between 6-12 months. You may therefore be offered an appointment with the GP Registrar.

  • Initially the GP Registrars training will involve them ‘sitting in’ with other clinical members of the Practice team. Following  this the GP Registrar will be consulting with patients alone under the supervision of a clinician.  Consent will be obtained from yourself prior to your consultation.
  • The GP Registrars need to video record some of their consultations as part of their assessment and you may be asked if you are happy to take part in this if you have an appointment with the GP Registrar. However please note that all videos are kept confidential and are destroyed when no longer required.

This is accessed by dialling the main Surgery number on 01279 621900 and following the appropriate prompts.

You may be given the option of a telephone consultation with a clinician for a telephone assessment towards arranging an appropriate appointment.

We run daily minor illness clinics with a duty doctor and nurse practitioner for urgent medical requirements.
