Q Sense Stop Smoking App

Q Sense is a new, free-of-charge Smartphone Android app developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge to support smokers with their quit attempt. The app works by learning about the user’s smoking habits before their quit-date, so it can send location-based personalised support once quit-date arrives. The app also gives users feedback about their smoking habits, and contains a library of tips and ideas to help the user stay motivated.

If you are looking to quit smoking, and would be interested in trying the Q Sense app alongside stop smoking support provided here at the surgery, please speak to a member of staff and they will pass on your details to the study team. The researchers are looking to recruit 40 participants in total, and participants are asked to try the app for five weeks alongside their quit attempt. The app is free to use, and participants who complete the study receive a £10 voucher to compensate their time.
